GECO: GHz Electro-Optic Frequency Comb
High repetition rate, high flexibility
The GHz Electro-Optic Frequency Comb (GECO) provides a reliable method for generating optical frequency combs at repetition rates between 5 and 30 GHz. These repetition rates are much higher than can be accessed with typical mode-locked-laser frequency combs.
Octave Photonics specializes in building electro-optic (EO) combs to customer specifications, including low phase noise, octave-spanning bandwidth, and femtosecond pulse durations.
Applications include astronomical spectrograph calibration, dual-comb spectroscopy, high-speed optical communications research, and optical frequency division.
Features:
Spectrum with evenly spaced optical frequencies.
Spectral coherence over large bandwidth.
Repetition rates between 5 and 30 GHz
Optical output power up to 5 Watts
Pulse durations as short as 20 fs
Reconfigurable repetition rates
Rack mountable form factor
